Riding the waves of emotion together.
Who I am and what I offer.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over fifteen years of experience as a school counselor, I specialize in working with adolescents, preadolescents, and families in Hawaii. Specifically, I work best with female adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression, insomnia, low self-esteem, body image, self-harm, suicidal ideation, sexual assault, LGBTQ issues, and peer/family relationship challenges. I also work well with young adults dealing with navigating the post college world, and with adults struggling with life transitions, grief and loss, codependency, substance abuse, and relationship challenges. Adulting is not easy sometimes, and I aim to provide safe therapeutic spaces and to teach critical communication, conflict resolution, and emotional regulation skills to those seeking healthier strategies for living their best life.
My therapeutic approach.
My approach to psychotherapy is holistic, eclectic, and strengths based, allowing me to support and nurture clients’ mind, body, and spirit from a place of humility, non-judgment, and compassion. Because every client’s personal growth journey is unique, I draw on a variety of evidenced based biopsychosocial interventions, including:
Person centered (humanistic) therapy
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT)
Brainspotting (Cutting edge trauma therapy)
Mindfulness based therapy (MBCT)
Emotion focused therapy (EFT)
Compassion focused therapy
Experiential therapy
Positive Psychology
I also use humor, elements of yoga and mindfulness (as a 200 hour registered yoga instructor), and neuro-education as therapeutic tools for helping teens, preteens, young adults, and families to build a greater sense of self-awareness, trust, acceptance, confidence, and well-being in living their best life.

Therapy Intensives.
I am also now offering Therapy Intensives, which are an accelerated form of therapy designed to help clients go deeper in the healing process and get results in a shorter amount of time. Instead of attending therapy one hour per week for a year, why not carve out a half day, full day, weekend, or a week for Therapy Intensives? This cutting-edge approach helps people feel better faster without needing a weekly therapy appointment.
Imagine booking your own therapeutic “mini-retreat” to catalyze your healing journey in a matter of hours or days, depending on your needs. You can learn more about Therapy Intensives by checking out my FAQ page or emailing me directly at sarah@hpcollective.com to set up a free 15 minute phone consultation to determine if a Therapy Intensive is right for you.

SEL & Educational Consulting.
As a former high school counselor and administrator at Punahou School, I occasionally provide mental health consulting for local private schools across Oahu and facilitate SEL trainings and workshops for students, faculty, school counselors, administrators, and parents. In these experiential trainings & workshops, I teach evidenced based somatic and cognitive tools for stress management, emotional regulation, and creating safety and belonging within school communities and within your own nervous system. My rate for SEL training and consulting ranges from $300-$400/hour. Please reach out via email (sarah@hpcollective.com) for more information.
Embodiment Coaching & Yoga.
During the pandemic, I expanded beyond traditional therapy to support girls and women globally as an Embodiment Coach & Yoga Teacher, integrating neuroscience, psychology, and yoga to help women cultivate embodied health, balance, and their own “internal paradise.” I founded the Women’s Wellness Circle facebook group in 2021 (to create virtual communities of support during the pandemic) and later created the Mālama Membership Circle to support high-achieving women and moms through ongoing, holistic care. I currently offer Yoga & Brainspotting Workshops for our island community once a quarter and Yoga Circle workshops for teen girls (with the next one on April 26, 2026). My work centers on creating safe, sacred spaces - both online and in person - where girls and women can reconnect with themselves, step into their power, and experience authentic belonging.
